terms & definitions

2023. In an effort to try and define my own practice and body of work so far, I created an evolving dictionary. Allowing for room to grow, the concept blends digital and analog/physical media themes. Combining the syntax of a code language, and the material bounds of a wooden box, terms & definitions is a series of wooden boxes that fit within each other. Replicating the conceptual structure of html, the nested boxes are labeled 'div', with the larger box container the 'main' section. This is an exercise in craft as well as self-reflection. Boxes are made of pine, finished with tung oil, and laser engraved.
